Frequently asked questions
What does CarouselScout do?
It’s a Chrome extension for Amazon influencers. On an amazon.com product page it counts the videos in the carousel (influencer, brand and customer), shows whether there’s room for yours, gives a 0–100 score with its breakdown and estimates what one sale of the variant you tag could pay.
Is it free?
Slot counts, the status and Copy ASIN are free with no limit. The full analysis (score, per-sale estimate and variant warning) is free for 10 different products a day. Pro removes the limit and adds variant compare, saturation history, search highlights, your videos and the work list.
How much is Pro?
$15 a month or $120 a year. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, which also handles sales tax.
Does CarouselScout browse Amazon or send requests to it?
No. It only reads the product or search page you open in your browser. It never opens pages in the background and never sends requests to Amazon.
What data leaves my browser?
Anonymous daily counters (for example, how many products were analyzed) and, when you activate Pro, your license key. Product pages, ASINs, your creator name and your work list stay in your browser.
Where do I find my license key?
In the Polar customer portal. The link is in your receipt email and on the install page. Keys start with CS-.
Can I use Pro on more than one computer?
Yes, on up to 3 browsers at once. Activating a fourth deactivates the one used least recently.
How do I cancel?
From the Polar customer portal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. See refunds.
Does it work on amazon.ca or amazon.co.uk?
Not yet. It works on amazon.com in Chrome.
Is CarouselScout part of Amazon?
No. CarouselScout is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon.
Are the scores and earnings exact?
No. They’re estimates from what the page shows and your inputs, not Amazon data. The score is there to help you decide, with every part visible.
