Amazon influencer program first 3 videos
How to choose and film your first Amazon influencer videos so they pass review and have a real chance to earn: product choice, variants and filming basics.
Updated
Your first videos have two jobs: pass Amazon’s review and start earning. Pick products you can show in real use, with demand on the page, room in the video carousel and a single variant you’re sure about.
Why the first videos matter
New influencers have typically been asked to upload a small first set of videos (commonly three) before onsite commissions turn on. Requirements can change, so follow what Creator Hub shows you. Either way, early videos teach you what gets approved and what earns, so choose them carefully.
Choosing the products
Use products you already own when you can: no waiting and no spending. For each one, check:
| Check | Good sign |
|---|---|
| Demand | “bought in past month” on the page, or thousands of ratings |
| Carousel | 0–2 influencer videos in the upper carousel |
| Variants | Few variants, or one clearly best seller |
| Price | High enough that one sale is worth it (see the calculator) |
| Filmability | You can show it in use, not just hold the box |
Avoid products with strict claims (supplements, medical devices) for your first videos: they’re easier to get wrong.
Tag the right variant
Since April 14, 2026, onsite commission only pays on the exact variant (ASIN) your video is linked to. If the product comes in sizes or colors, open a few variants and compare their “bought in past month” and price. Film and tag the one that sells.
Filming basics that pass review
Amazon publishes content guidelines in Creator Hub; read them first. In practice:
- Show the product clearly in the first seconds, in use.
- Talk about the product, not about Amazon prices or deals, which change.
- Be honest: mention a downside if there is one. Reviewers and shoppers trust balanced videos.
- Keep it short: 30 to 90 seconds is common for product page videos.
- Good light and clean sound matter more than a fancy camera. A phone near a window works.
- No external links, contact details or calls to buy elsewhere in the video.
After you upload
Review can take a few days. Once videos are live, open the product pages from time to time to check where yours shows. With CarouselScout Pro, add your creator name once and the extension notes your video’s position each time you open one of those pages, without browsing Amazon for you.

A simple plan for the first week
| Day | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | List 10 products you own or use often. Check each page for demand and influencer videos in the upper carousel |
| 2 | Keep the 3 with demand, an open slot and few variants. Note the ASIN of the variant you’ll tag |
| 3–4 | Film all three in one session: same light, same spot, 30–90 seconds each |
| 5 | Edit lightly, check the audio and upload with clear titles that name the product |
| 6–7 | Read any review feedback in Creator Hub and fix what it asks for |
Batching the filming matters more than it looks. Setting up light and sound takes longer than recording, so three videos in one session cost little more than one.
FAQ
Can I use the same product for two videos?
You can make different videos for different products. Several videos of the same product compete with each other for the same slots.
What if a video is rejected?
Read the reason in Creator Hub, fix it (often audio, unclear product, or a claim) and upload a new version.
Should I film expensive products first?
Not necessarily. Pick products with demand and an open slot. Price helps per sale, but a product that doesn’t sell pays nothing.
