Terms of service

The terms for using the CarouselScout extension and website, including subscriptions through Polar, estimates without guarantees and acceptable use.

Updated

These terms apply to the CarouselScout Chrome extension and carouselscout.com (“CarouselScout”, “we”). By installing the extension or buying a subscription you agree to them.

Who can use CarouselScout

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. You’re responsible for following Amazon’s terms, including the Amazon Associates and Influencer Program policies, when you use CarouselScout.

What CarouselScout is

CarouselScout reads the Amazon product and search pages you open in your browser and shows counts, a score and estimates. It does not automate actions on Amazon, does not browse Amazon for you and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Amazon.

Estimates, not guarantees

Scores, per-sale estimates, calculator results and guides are estimates based on what pages show, public information and your inputs. They are not Amazon data and they don’t promise any earnings, approval or video placement. Decide what to film with your own judgment.

Plans and subscriptions

  • Free: slot counts, status and Copy ASIN without limit, and 10 full analyses a day.
  • Pro: $15 a month or $120 a year, renewing automatically until you cancel.

Subscriptions are sold by Polar, our merchant of record, which charges your card, calculates and remits sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipts. Polar’s terms apply to the purchase.

You can cancel any time in the Polar customer portal; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds follow our refund policy.

License keys

Each subscription comes with a license key. It can be active in up to 3 browsers at once. Don’t share or resell it. We may deactivate keys used in breach of these terms.

Acceptable use

Don’t reverse-engineer the service to abuse it, overload our API, resell access, or use CarouselScout to break Amazon’s terms or anyone’s rights.

Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Amazon can change its pages at any time; when that breaks a feature, we work to fix it but can’t guarantee how quickly. We may change features or these terms; if a change materially affects paid subscribers, we’ll announce it on this site before it applies. If we ever shut CarouselScout down, we’ll refund the unused part of annual plans.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, CarouselScout is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost earnings, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where CarouselScout’s operating company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
