Amazon influencer program on TikTok
How to apply to the Amazon Influencer Program with a TikTok account, what reviewers look for, where links can go and how TikTok and onsite videos relate.

Short answer
Yes, you can join the Amazon Influencer Program with a TikTok account. You connect it when you apply, Amazon reviews your engagement and content, and if you’re approved you get a storefront you can link from your TikTok profile. Your TikTok videos and the videos you upload to Amazon product pages are separate uploads.
Can you join the Amazon Influencer Program with only a TikTok account?
Yes. The application has offered TikTok as one of the social accounts you can sign in with, along with YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Amazon’s own overview of the program, on About Amazon, lists TikTok among the platforms creators apply with and says reviewers weigh several factors, including content quality, engagement and follower count.
What Amazon doesn’t do is publish a number. You’ll find blog posts claiming TikTok applicants need 1,000 followers, but no Amazon page we could find states it. Treat any fixed figure as a guess.
TikTok accounts have one advantage in review: short product videos are already the format Amazon wants on product pages. If your recent posts show a product in use, with your voice explaining what’s good and what isn’t, a reviewer can picture those videos on Amazon. An account full of trends, dances or reposted clips gives them nothing to judge, however many followers it has.
If you post on several platforms, apply with the one where your product content and engagement are strongest. The Amazon influencer program requirements cover the full checklist and the usual reasons for rejection.
How do you apply with TikTok?
The steps are the same as for any platform, with a few TikTok-specific checks before you start:
- Make the account public. Reviewers can’t judge a private account.
- Clean up the top of your profile. Pin two or three of your best product videos so they’re the first thing a reviewer sees.
- Say what you review in the bio. “Honest kitchen gadget tests” tells a reviewer more than a list of emojis.
- Apply from your Amazon account for the marketplace you want, and choose TikTok when the application asks for a social account.
- Authorize the connection so Amazon can read your public profile and recent posts.
Amazon emails the decision. It doesn’t publish a review time, and creators report waits from days to weeks. If you aren’t approved, Amazon’s overview encourages applicants to reapply later; use the time to post more product content.
After approval, finish your tax and payment details in your Associates account. Amazon can’t pay commissions until tax information is on file. The broader walkthrough, from storefront to first videos, is in how to become an Amazon influencer.
What does Amazon look for on a TikTok account?
Reviewers see what any visitor sees: your profile, your recent videos and how people respond to them. Here’s how each signal tends to read on TikTok:
| Signal | What reads well on TikTok | What reads badly |
|---|---|---|
| Engagement | Comments asking about the product, saves and shares | High views on one viral clip, silence on the rest |
| Consistency | Several product videos a week over recent months | A burst of posts the week before you apply |
| Relevance | Reviews, unboxings, comparisons, “does it work” tests | Trends and sounds with no product |
| Authenticity | Your face or hands, your voice, your opinion | Reposted brand ads and stitched clips only |
TikTok’s algorithm can give a small account one video with huge views. That helps less than it looks if the rest of the account has little interaction, because the reviewer sees an account that got lucky once. A steady pattern across ten recent videos matters more.
How do TikTok videos relate to Amazon onsite videos?
They are two different places with two different audiences:
- TikTok videos reach your followers and TikTok’s feed. Sales only happen if viewers follow a link to Amazon, which counts as offsite.
- Onsite videos are uploaded to Amazon through Creator Hub and can appear on product pages, where shoppers who have never heard of you watch them. Sales from there count as onsite.
Nothing you post on TikTok shows up on Amazon by itself. To get onsite placement, new influencers usually upload a first set of videos, commonly three, that Amazon reviews by hand. The first 3 videos guide covers how to choose them.
Your TikTok footage is still a good starting point. Many creators film once and cut two versions: a fast hook-driven edit for TikTok and a calmer one for Amazon that shows the product in the first seconds and talks about how it works. Read Amazon’s content guidelines in Creator Hub before you cut the Amazon version. Creators commonly remove mentions of prices or deals that change, external links and contact details, and other platforms’ on-screen handles or calls to follow.
The onsite version is also where the April 2026 rule matters. Since April 14, 2026, onsite commission only counts purchases of the same variant (ASIN) as the product page your video is linked to, per Amazon’s operating agreement change notice. Tag the variant that sells.
Where can your Amazon links go on TikTok?
Be conservative here: TikTok and Amazon both have rules, and both change.
On TikTok’s side, clickable links in videos and captions are limited, so most creators put one link in their profile, usually their Amazon storefront. Whether the website field appears depends on your account type and region; reports disagree on whether personal accounts still need a follower count, and business accounts generally get the field. Check your own Edit profile screen.
On Amazon’s side, three rules come up for TikTok creators:
- No paid or boosted traffic. Amazon’s April 14, 2026 update disqualifies purchases from customers referred through any paid or boosted advertisement that links to Amazon, with limited exceptions. Promoting a video that sends people to your storefront puts those sales at risk.
- The Associates statement. Amazon requires the sentence “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases” to be associated with your social account, for example in your profile, according to its Associates help page on disclosure.
- Post-level disclosure. The FTC’s guidance for influencers asks for a clear disclosure in the video itself, said out loud and on screen, not only in the caption or a platform tag. See Disclosures 101 for social media influencers.
When in doubt, read the current Associates Operating Agreement in your account; it’s the version that applies to you.
What should a TikTok creator film for Amazon first?
Your TikTok analytics tell you what your followers like. They don’t tell you whether a product page has room for another video. Before you film for Amazon, check the page itself: demand (“bought in past month”), how many influencer videos are already in the carousel, the price of the variant you’d tag and how many variants there are.
A product that does well on TikTok can still be a poor Amazon video. A trending gadget may already have eight influencer videos on its page, or come in twelve colors where only one sells. A boring but useful kitchen tool with two videos and steady demand is often the better first upload. Your TikTok audience can still help: if followers keep asking where to buy something, that product is a good candidate for both versions.
That page check is what CarouselScout does on the product pages you open: it counts the influencer videos in the carousel, shows a 0–100 score with each part visible and estimates what one sale of that variant could pay. It reads only pages you open and doesn’t post anything for you.
FAQ
Do you need 1,000 TikTok followers for the Amazon Influencer Program?
No number is published by Amazon. Engagement, content quality and consistency are reviewed along with follower count. The 1,000 figure you see online is often confused with TikTok’s own rules for profile links.
Can you put Amazon affiliate links directly in TikTok videos?
TikTok limits clickable links in videos, so most creators link their storefront from their profile. Whatever you use, disclose the relationship and don’t send paid or boosted traffic to Amazon.
Can you upload your TikTok videos to Amazon?
You can reuse your own footage, but upload a version that follows Amazon’s content guidelines in Creator Hub. Creators usually show the product early and drop prices, deals and other platforms’ handles.
Is TikTok Shop the same as the Amazon Influencer Program?
No. They are separate programs run by different companies, with their own rules and payouts. Many creators use both, with different content for each.
